Requirements for High-speed Internet

What is High-speed Internet?
Sprint high-speed Internet (digital subscriber line) carries both voice and data simultaneously using your existing phone line. It delivers high-speed Internet connectivity to your home using your existing telephone line at speeds that will allow you to do more than dial-up. What this means to you is that you can talk on the phone and surf the Net at the same time.

So, why stick with the antiquated dial-up method when High-speed Internet offers you the freedom and flexibility to multi-task?

How High-speed Internet Works
A Sprint high-speed Internet modem is installed on your existing phone line. This modem transmits the data over your existing phone line, enabling voice and data to be transmitted at the same time.

This is what gives you the freedom to talk and surf simultaneously without any interruptions to your Internet connection. If you're talking on the phone while surfing, your speeds will not be affected and your voice connection will be as clear as it has always been. And because Sprint high-speed Internet is an "instant on" connection there is no waiting for a dial-up connection and no busy signals - with just a click of the mouse you're surfing the net!

To utilize your Sprint high-speed Internet connection your computer will need to have a Network Card or USB Network Adapter. The Network Card consists of a printed circuit board that is installed inside your computer. Many but not all computers sold today have a Network Card installed at the time of purchase. The USB Network Adapter plugs directly into an available USB port and in effect turns it into an external Network Card. Either device permits you to access to a Local Area Network (LAN).
